I received an honorable mention in the prestigious ND Awards for my photo of a traditional West African dancer ready to perform in Liberia. The annual Peace Conference and Cultural festival has had to be cancelled this year due to the Ebola epidemic.
I also received a Bronze award for this shot of two bull elephants in a face off in Lake Manyara, Tanzania.

Michael Anastassiades in collaboration with Flos present the lighting installation Ama, made by mouth blown opaline spheres and brass. The piece is an appreciation of the pearl diving mermaids of Japan.
The lighting installation is currently on show in the British Galleries of the Victoria and Albert Museum for the duration of the London Design Festival.

TZIPAC in support of UNICEF announced the results of their photography competition with the theme of “Live, Love and Laughter”. My photograph of a runner bean picker in Kenya was selected as a finalist.
TZ International Photography and Art Community (TZIPAC) is an organization that is dedicated to the celebration of beautiful photography from around the world - recognizing and introducing amazing artists from all walks of life.

On July 24, 2014 from 8-9pm, three of my pictures were shown on the two largest billboards in Times Square, for one of the largest collaborative creative projects ever staged.
The work was shown 3 meters tall on billboards located at 46th St. and Broadway in the heart of NYC, as part of the See | Me takeover featuring artists from around the world.
