At the beginning of April 2022 Nando’s celebrated thirty years since opening its first restaurant in the United Kingdom, in Ealing.
Nando’s has evolved into a 458-restaurant cultural phenomenon, where everyone from musicians to young families, royalty to politicians and everyone in-between likes a “cheeky” Nando’s!
Nando’s has weathered the ever-changing restaurant landscape and soldiered on through the pandemic with plans to open 12 new restaurants in 2022. Part of the brands resilience has been their restaurants individuality whilst still being recognised as a Nando’s.
The new restaurant in Glasgow designed by Fusion dna is a masterclass in the Nando’s brand. Located in the St Enoch’s shopping centre, the restaurant is a complete departure from its surroundings with a canopy of plants, sculpted concrete walls, African fabrics, and wooden ceiling feature. The space has been designed with a variety of seating options from circular booths to single tables that can be arranged as required. The lighting is a mix of decorative pendants, atmospheric feature lights and functional spots. Splashes of colour come from the original art, authentic tiles, and furniture.
A happy belated birthday … still looking and tasting great!
